Who We Are
The Promitheas Research Institute is a non-profit research center established with the aim of promoting interdisciplinary research. The promotion, conducting, and utilizing systematic scientific research as a tool for critical analysis, dialogue, and understanding of the political, social, economic, and cultural environment, while simultaneously submitting specific proposals and recommendations, are fundamental objectives of the Institute. â

The Institute's areas of research include, but are not limited to, issues of society, culture, history, politics, economics, international relations, environment, youth, gender relations, mass media, and European issues.
One of the Institute's main areas of activity is the organization, undertaking, and participation in bicommunal actions, research, and studies, with the aim of the peaceful reunification of our homeland.
At the same time, we consider the development of critical thinking in Cyprus to be an important prerequisite both for achieving the goal of reunification and for the democratic and peaceful education of Cypriots.â

Through the systematic and methodical development of progressive thinking and social awareness regarding civil, civil, cultural, economic, and social rights—contributes, among other things, to the elimination of any discrimination based on gender, origin, beliefs, or other individual choices.
