NATO as a War Industry: Consequences for Peace, Development and Independence

This collective volume examines NATO as a central pillar of contemporary militarism and the global war industry, analysing its political, economic, and social implications for peace, development, and national independence. The contributions included in the book critically explore NATO’s evolving doctrine, its role in international interventions, and its impact on regional and global geopolitical dynamics.



Through case studies and theoretical analyses, the volume addresses issues such as NATO’s military interventions, the militarisation of international relations, defence spending and its social consequences, the relationship between militarism and economic crisis, and NATO’s involvement in the Eastern Mediterranean, the Balkans, and beyond.
